Eating clean will not only keep you avoid excess calories, but you are also powering your body with the best kinds of food— superfoods.

Foods like avocado, carrots, kimchi, sauerkraut, chia, turmeric, ginger, garlic, there are just too many to list.

When you are not going over your maximum calorie intake, you will lose weight. 

Eating clean can be hard for some because they have developed this relationship with food that can be hard to break. Being a foodie, I know. 

Eating clean is probably the hardest step to do for me. I can always put in a lot of hours with my exercise, but when it comes to food, I can’t help myself.

Good food (bad food) is my weakness, a kink in my armor that I had to eliminate to live a healthier life. 

Although, being a foodie has its advantages. You see, since I love food, I learned how to cook.

I used to search recipes online so I can copy precisely how it’s done. Now, I can whip up a dish with whatever ingredients I have. A simple dish mind you. Not like those Masterchefs, which can produce a high-quality meal in just half an hour.

Although my nephew thinks I cook the best chicken teriyaki. EVER!

Another type of exercise I keep in my regimen is shadowboxing.

I used to box as a kid but not high-level stuff. My friend and I used to spar with our torn, oversized boxing gloves barely fitting our hands.

Shadowboxing is excellent for muscle memory and cardio. I only do 12 minutes of shadowboxing a day, and it gets me results.
