Well, it’s another start of a weight loss journey. And, I’ve made it to week 8 without stopping. Okay, let’s do a recap last week.
Weight loss journey week 7 recap
Well, nothing really interesting happened except that I bought a Bonsai plant. Very happy with my purchase.
Also, I started the jump rope challenge. It is a 7-day jump rope challenge. My goal is to see whether it’s effective doing 10-minute cardio to burn the fat off or a 1-hour cardio session is better.
I say 10 minutes because that’s how long I can finish the challenge. However, if you add another 100 or 300, it takes me longer.
Oh, and my weight last Monday was 67 kilograms.
Day 53
Monday, October 12, 2020
Weight: 66.5 kilograms

Another day of the weight loss journey and this is the fourth day of the jump rope challenge. And, I’m doing 1300 jump ropes today.
Nothing exciting happened other than the jump rope challenge. Yes, I get excited about doing a challenge that is challenging. Well, challenging for me anyway.
I thought that the challenge was a bit laid back until I decided to complete the 1300 jump ropes as fast as possible. Man, what a workout!
Day 54
Tuesday, October 13, 2020
Weight: 65.5 kilograms

Is that right? 65.5 kilograms????
Hmmm… Looks sus, but I’ll take it.
Perhaps, I’ll reach the 65.5 kilograms mark this week. Then again, I’ve been saying the same thing for the last 2 weeks.
I finished the fifth day of the 7-day jump rope challenge. And, I’m starting to hurt. Especially my Achilles heel. Two days to go.
Day 55
Wednesday, October 14, 2020
Weight: 66 kilograms

Wow, when will my weight hit 65 kilograms!? The scale is dancing around 67 kilograms and 65 kilograms.
Today is the sixth day of the jump rope challenge and I have to jump rope 1500, YIKES!
Yesterday was already hard doing 1400 jumps.
Also, I had too many eggs. I hope my cholesterol is not shooting up. Hopefully, I’m not one of those people who are sensitive to animal cholesterols.
Another day has gone by, see you tomorrow.
Day 56
Thursday, October 15, 2020
Weight: 66 kilograms
Body fat: 25%

Well, there goes my 65 kilograms this week theory. Again.
Perhaps I ate too much? Who knows, but if the jump rope challenge is making me burn fat then I’ll just keep doing semi high-intensity cardio exercises.
I say semi because I’m not pushing myself hard enough to call my cardio workouts a high intensity.
Probably, I push it for a minute or two but not entirely. But, it seems to keep my weight from going out of control. So, I don’t see any need to change.
Yes!
I finally finished the jump rope challenge. To make it worth your while and not just say you completed the challenge. Make it challenging by doing the jump rope as fast as you can. This will make it hard and worth considering for your regimen.
I also received my skinfold caliper and according to their chart, I have 25% body fat. After careful image search on Google, perhaps, I could be 30%.
It doesn’t matter though whether it’s right. As long as I am decreasing the body fat, that is all that matters.
I won’t check the body fat percentage daily, but I will be doing it weekly. It will be every Monday. Until then, day 56 is over.
Day 57
Friday, October 16, 2020
Weight: 65 kilograms

Oh my god! I dropped 1 kilogram in a week! And, it’s due to a 7-day jump rope challenge.
Well, I think so anyway. I didn’t change my diet or did any fat-burning cardio. All my cardio was only the jump rope and I did it for only a period of 15 minutes max.
The first day I did it in under 10 minutes. The other days were more, but never more than 15 minutes. The 15-minute session was on the final day, which I had to do 1600 skips.
I had some unhealthy dishes today and I was not able to finish it due to it being too fatty. The first few bites were good, but after that, it was sickening.
Overall, it was a good day. The 1 kilogram drop made my week. Hope you guys are doing well too.
Day 58
Saturday, October 17. 2020
Weight: 64 kilograms

What the heck is going on here? Did I drop another 1 kilogram in 24 hours? Is there something wrong with me?
All I did was continue with the jump rope challenge. Yesterday, I did 1300 jump ropes as fast as I could.
Anyway, I’m happy.
Had a good family day out with the fam today. We visited the market near the Western Parklands park.
After buying some toys as gifts for Christmas, we walked to burn a few calories. This parkland is built for people who want to go for a run or walk.
There is also a good barbecue area and it’s not packed compared to the other side of this park.
We visited Costco and my baby killed the piano, again. Costco is usually busy during this time, especially close to the closing hour.
I was good with the healthy eating today, except dinner. I ate the battered, deep-fried, chicken leftover.
Also, I had the equivalent of 5 shots of coffee today. I’m so jagged right now!
Day 59
Sunday, October 18, 2020
Weight: 65 kilograms

I gained a kilo. It must’ve been that deep-fried Korean chicken I had for dinner last night.
On my rest day today, there will be no cardio or strength training. Just rest. Syke! I freaking did cardio.
I thought it would be best because I am having a very high-calorie meal today, sweet and sour pork. Which I forgot to record because I am forgetful at my age.
Short day today, and uneventful, but hopefully tomorrow will be action-packed. Until then, laters.
